Our Approach
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) is a innovative molecular testing technique that detects a targeted genetic sequence present in any given sample—identifying cancer genes, bacteria, fungus, and viral. This practice amplifies the targeted genetic material in the sample through a complex series of heating and cooling cycles.
At this stage, analysis is done to determine any target gene amplifications. If the amplification of the target gene is detected in the sample, a positive result of the pathogen in question is yielded. If no amplification is detected, then it means that the target sequence is not present in the sample, and the pathogen in question is absent, yielding a negative result.
